Jehovah Jireh: The Lord will provide

Questions:

1. Describe what you think of when you hear the word provision.  Most of us probably think of money and possessions, but provision encompasses so much more than mere physical needs.  Our God is able and willing to meet all of our needs.

2. In what ways have you seen God's provision in your life?

3. In what ways are you still clinging to things in your life that God is calling you to lay down at His feet?

4. Make a list of the ways in which you need God's provision right now in your life.  Take it to Him in prayer, petitioning Him to be your Jehovah Jireh.  Now sit and listen to what He is saying.  Some of what we deem as needs are not truly needs, but wants.  God may ask you to weed out the wants from the needs.  He is a good Father and longs to give you what you want, as well, but He will only do so if it is best for you.  He loves you too much to give you something that isn't His best or His perfect timing.
