Day 29: Endurance and Hope

Father God, I thank you for your grace and strength that sustains and covers me. I pray, Lord, that you would give me the endurance and hope I need to run this race well. Keep my eyes fixed on you (Hebrews 12:1-3). Our world is getting more and more evil each day. Christians are facing open, physical, emotional and mental persecution on a daily basis. It’s unpopular to be a Christian, which means we need even more resolve and faith in you to ground us through the adversity we face. Grant us the faith we need to overcome the evils of this world. Give us a kingdom mindset that this world isn’t our home, that we don’t need the approval of man - we were made for eternity with you and yours is the only approval that matters. Guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). Fill us with hope in Christ so that we can persevere, no matter what comes our way, because you never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5, Deuteronomy 31:6). Thank you, Father. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”
