Day 30: Peace of Jerusalem

Father God, you instruct us in your Word to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem (Psalms 122:6). So, I pray that your sovereign hand would be on your chosen nation. I pray for Israel’s leaders to have wisdom in ruling your people (James 1:5-6). I pray that the nation of Israel would return to you, Lord (Zechariah 1:3, Jeremiah 24:7, Revelation 7:3-8). Thank you that you have not given up on them because it means you will never give up on me (Hebrews 13:5, Deuteronomy 31:6). Open their eyes to see, ears to hear, mind to understand and heart to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. Father, we know that the true Peace of your people is only found in Jesus. He Himself is our Peace (Ephesians 2:14). So, I pray for His return. The world is getting darker by the hour, and we are in desperate need of Jesus. We trust in your timing and for you to make us ready for your return. May we be a light in the darkness, pointing the lost to a hope found in you alone. We long for heaven to come to earth so that we might dwell with you forever (Revelation 21:3). I thank you for your salvation and promise of eternal life. I love you, Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”
